Bowhead seeks a Systems Engineer- Journeyman to support our PDSS contract at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD. The Pre-Deployment Software Support contract is tasked with developing a way to automatically release system updates/patches to military systems in the field. The Systems Engineer will analyze, design and implement information systems.

We have a diverse fleet of vessels that provide our customers with comprehensive marine service options in multiple regions of Alaska. We are seeking an experienced Mate aboard our 200 GRT, 150ft Landing Craft, MV Unalaq built new in 2014.   Essential Functions: - Supervises and coordinates activities of crew aboard ship. - Assumes command of ship in event ship captain becomes incapacitated. - Inspects cargo deck of ship during loading to ensure that cargo is stowed according to specifications. - Examines cargo-handling gear and lifesaving equipment and orders crew to repair or replace defective gear and equipment. - Supervises crew engaged in cleaning and maintaining decks, superstructure, and bridge of ship. - Stands watch during specified periods and determines geographical position of ship, upon request of Master, using loran and azimuths of celestial bodies.  

Scale house operator is responsible for operating weigh scales, scale computer and software data programs, data entry and record keeping. The scale house operator ensures trucks receive tare weights each day prior to loading. The operator also scales and records each loaded truck throughout the day and records weights and prints tickets.        

Supervise underground water and sewer work crews in completion of contract work, warranty work, and demolition of equipment. Responsible for supervision, direction, and safety of work crew during construction process.  

CIVIL ENGINEER (USCG-2022-3432):   Bowhead is seeking a Civil Engineer to provide civil engineering services to United States Coast Guard (USCG) Civil Engineering Unit (CEU) Juneau. Position is located at USCG CEU in Juneau, AK, in support of projects throughout the 17th Coast Guard District (D17) area of responsibility (AOR). Services include independent technical reviews, project scope development, field investigation, planning, specifications, drawings, cost estimating, problem and conflict resolution, scheduling and design production, and facility condition assessments.
