FABRIC WORKER (2024-20473):   Bowhead is seeking to network with Fabric Workers to join our team in supporting the Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at Fort. Jackson, SC. Job Description: ***Must be member of Local Union 302 or 341*** Oversee all types of craft workers onsite on a fast paced construction project. Primary duties will include leading construction crews and perform construction, rehabilitating highways, installing culverts, excavation activities, traffic control, and coordinating with miscellaneous subcontractors. This includes but is not limited to, clearing, grubbing, pavement planning, excavation, aggregate installation, asphalt, culvert installation, guardrail, signs, geotextile, swppp, traffic control, and striping. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Reading plans and specifications, subcontractor contracts, shop drawings, submittals, and project schedules without supervision. • Coordinate with owner’s rep, project managers, foreman, craft labor, and subcontractors to solve field problems. • Use and understand survey equipment to establish and maintain vertical and horizontal control throughout construction. • Understand and participate as an active member of health and safety program. • Insure project and activities are completed in accordance with project specifications and plans. • Able to manage both labor and equipment resources. • Respectfully and effectively communicate with owner representatives, inspectors, architects, engineers and subcontractors. • Supervise and perform duties and operation of tools of the trade in strict compliance with OSHA rules. • Conduct safety meetings and perform JHA’s when needed. • Strong communication skills. • Required onsite presence every day. • Additional duties as assigned.

General Laborer Summary: ***Must Be Member of LOCAL UNION 341*** Perform tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, perform demolition activities, and clean up rubble, debris and other waste materials. This position answers to the Heavy Duty Shop Foreman and/or Qayaq Equipment Manager. Essential Duties: • Coordinate with HD Shop Foreman and other HD Field Mechanics in identifying and prioritizing all repair and maintenance needs. • Identify any additional service work found during repair or servicing of the equipment. • Work with the HD Shop Foreman and other HD Field Mechanics to diagnose machine problems and conduct repairs. • Work with Shop Foreman and other HD field Mechanics to identify parts and wear items to be ordered in anticipation for repairs. • Receive guidance and instructions from Shop Mgr. & Shop Foreman on a regular basis in the effort of constantly improving on production and performance. • Must to be familiar with electronics, or use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs. • Must be able to look at mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, identify problems, and think about possible solutions. • Other duties as assigned. Marine Operations Forklift Operator UIC, Bowhead Transport seeks a seasonal, land/sea-based Forklift Operator to be always responsible for the safe operation of the forklift. The operator will offload and backload cargo on barges and in freight yards under the direction of the Barge Master and Cargo Operations Manager. Other tasks will routinely include lashing, housekeeping on the barge and yards, minor forklift maintenance, and report writing as needed. The Deckhand will work to work as part of a close knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of maritime functions as you support AUTEC.   * This position will require full time relocation to the island. The work is 5 days a week 50 hour work weeks. We cover the flight there and lodging is covered by the Navy as you would live there on the base. We submit and hold your security clearance.
